The new Chick-fil-A restaurant next door to the Clermont Hotel on Ponce de Leon Avenue is set to open on Thursday, Jan. 9.
Located at 777 Ponce De Leon Ave. NE, will be open for dine-in, carry-out, mobile curbside, and third-party delivery from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
The Poncey-Highland location – which sits on the former site of Dugan’s Restaurant & Bar now located in Tucker – does not have a drive-thru window. Another Chick-fil-A with multiple drive-thru windows is a 10-minute walk at the corner of Ponce and Boulevard.
Michael Duncan, and Atlanta-area native, is the owner-operator of the new location. The restaurant will employ 80 full- and part-time employees.
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. has donated $25,000 to Feeding America to support local hunger relief efforts of the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Duncan’s restaurant will plan to participate in the Shared Table program, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need.
