Ariana Grande has announced the release date for her upcoming deluxe album, Eternal Sunshine.
She shared the news via an Instagram update on Monday, revealing that the enhanced edition of her seventh studio album—titled Eternal Sunshine Deluxe: Brighter Days Ahead—is set to be released on March 28.
In January, Grande told Variety that the deluxe album was already finished and would include several new tracks. “This is a very important project,” she said.
“I’ve been so visible in the public eye lately; I want my fans to miss me for a moment. I’m excited to surprise them with it eventually, but I’m still thinking about the right timing. It’s not the end for ‘Pes’ yet; she’s taking a break for a while.”
She added,
“The album is quite concise, and I didn’t want to add anything just for the sake of it. The new additions are short, but they really matter.”
Earlier this month, Grande hinted at the deluxe version’s release, telling Variety on the Oscars red carpet to “stay tuned.” She also hesitated to say it would come “soon,” explaining that “soon” could mean within ten days or less, and she wasn’t allowed to use that term at the moment.
The release of Eternal Sunshine deluxe comes just over a year after the original version was launched. Grande received Grammy nominations for the album, including best pop album, pop duo performance for the remix of ‘The Boy Is Mine’ with Brandy and Monica, and best dance recording for ‘Yes, And?’.
