Fly away with me
April 9 — Hello, art lovers! Thanks for checking in for another great week of art news.
This week, I am pleased to share photographs and insights from my recent visit to the recently reopened Delta Flight Museum. Tons of interactive elements made this experience fun for not only me but also my daughter and her friend who joined me during my tour on opening day. A highlight of my time at the museum is the large-scale SCADpro mural completed by SCAD student Jennifer Lee.
Also this week, I’ve got some details about the 2025 spring lineup planned for Atlanta Beltline Art. Whether you’re curious about a new mural, want to attend an upcoming event, or would like to submit your own art for inclusion on Atlanta’s beloved Beltline, check out the links in the story below.
As always, thanks for reading!

Newly reopened Delta Flight Museum brims with history and art
✈️ Since 1995, the Delta Flight Museum has invited visitors to experience the history of aviation through interactive exhibits and experiences. Located in two 1940s-era maintenance hangars used for servicing Delta aircraft, the sprawling 68,000-square-foot facility was designated as a Historic Aerospace Site in 2011.
Over the years, the museum has undergone several transitions, adding comforts such as air conditioning and modernization to enhance the experience for visitors. The most recent large-scale renovation kicked off in December 2024 and was completed in March, reopening to the public on April 7.
Delta is the first U.S. airline to celebrate its centennial, and this renovation seeks to honor the legacy of its first 100 years.

Post of the Week
🔥 I will admit it, I’m a total sucker for seeing recognizable Atlanta landmarks in artwork. This piece, “Kodak Moment,” was completed by artist Liz Webb for the SOUND WAVES exhibit at ABV Gallery, and in her Instagram post she discusses how she was inspired by the Outkast song “Gasoline Dreams.” Very cool, er… hot.
