LAHORE: Good news for students in Lahore! The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) has implemented some changes to simplify their academic journeys.
Starting in the 2024-26 session, ninth-graders will say goodbye to one subject. They will now only focus on Islamic Studies, whose weightage has been bumped up from 50 to 100 marks.
Similarly, matriculation students will have one less subject on their plates, but will dive deeper into Pakistan Studies, also valued at 100 marks now.
Focused Knowledge: This shift aims to provide students with a more thorough understanding of these crucial subjects. To support this goal, the Punjab Textbook Board is revising and producing updated books aligned with the new curriculum.
Early Exams: Get ready, matriculation students! BISE Lahore has announced the 2024 Punjab Matric Exams will kick off on March 1st. Time to start sharpening your pencils and diving into those textbooks!
Overall, these changes promise a streamlined and focused learning experience for students in Lahore, allowing them to delve deeper into key subjects like Islamic and Pakistan Studies.
