US Need Based Scholarship: The President of UKAHA Houston, Mr. Akhtar, recognized how important the university and its teachers are for the success of former students. He believes that the support from alumni will continue, and he mentioned that they have increased the yearly financial help from Rs 500,000 to Rs one million to help with the growing costs of living and inflation.

The support program, named the “UKAHA Academic Achievement Award,” became official when the Vice Chancellor of UoK, Dr. Khalid Mahmood Iraqi, and UKAHA Houston President Muhammad Azam Akhtar signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

Dr. Iraqi praised the alumni for their dedication to helping students and highlighted the potential of UoK students globally. The University of Karachi (UoK) has made an agreement with the University of Karachi Alumni Association, Houston, Texas (UKAHA) in the United States. This collaboration focuses on giving scholarships based on students’ needs for two semesters. The recipients include students from eight different departments, such as international relations, economics, psychology, mass communication, chemistry, statistics, mathematics, and computer science.
